NATIVITY LIVE

On Christmas Eve, as usual, Mary and Joseph, a child and (we hope) a donkey, shepherds and Wise Men will be gathering at 4.45pm at the top of the village to begin Nativity Live!

This is a special celebration for Christmas Eve which has become a very popular and colourful tradition in Grosmont.  The procession pauses at the Angel Inn but finds "no room at the inn", and continues on to the Nave of St. Nicholas Church.

Despite the cold weather last year an estimated 200 people (including over 30 children) gathered in the Nave for the familiar carols and a different presentation of the Christmas story.

Roasted chestnuts and mulled wine will complete your special evening.
