On 3rd May we featured an article about Huw Llewelyn Morgan and the Merbecke Choir. The date of the concert is fast approaching.
The Merbecke Choir will give their summer concert on Saturday 11 July at Southwark Cathedral. The concert begins at 7.30pm and will last about an hour; admission is £5 (£3 for concessions), tickets are available in advance by calling 020 7367 6700 or can be purchased on the door.
The concert will be given in the presence of Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu and his wife Leah: Southwark Cathedral are naming two new strains of rose in their honour at this year's RHS Flower Show, and this concert will feature music about roses and other flowers. Archbishop Tutu will also speak briefly about the work of the Tutu Foundation.
