THE ANGEL INN

NEW START FOR GROSMONT'S PUB

Opening Hours

Mark Peters is the new landlord and chef of the Angel Inn.

Mark's family business has been in hospitality and catering and he is himself a chef.  He is looking forward to the challenge of running a village pub with everything that means.  He may be a chef but he has no intention of turning The Angel into a restaurant. A pub means a lively bar, a meeting place for local residents and a welcome for passing strangers; it means darts, cribbage and boules; it means a welcome for muddy walkers and the farmer with his dog and it means music and six nations rugby.  Diners will be offered wholesome food that's seasonal, fresh and local, both in the dining room and the bar.  The plan is that those who come to drink, will be tempted to eat and that those who come to eat, will be captivated by the welcome that The Angel has always offered and stay to enjoy the conviviality of the bar.

After six years, that have made The Angel a byword for hospitality, Margie has gone on to new things.
She will be much missed but the good news is, that Rob remains devoted to promoting music at The Angel.

Change isn't easy but it is exciting.  The Angel remains a real village pub, vibrant with life, welcoming, warm and at the heart of the community.  There aren't that many real pubs left - The Angel Inn is one of them!  Be a part of it.
