NEXT MEETING Tuesday 7 May at Monnow VAlley Arts Centre, starting at 7pm. PLEASE NOTE that this is a change from what was previously advertised and our Annual Plant Sale has been resheduled for Tuesday 4 June at Grosmont Town Hall. The change is due to poor growing conditions so far and we hope the change will allow us to provide a better selection of plants with the added advantage that many can go straight out in the garden at that time (weather permitting)
Monnow Valley Arts centre has some unusual gardens covering 4 acres and including a sculputre gardens, parterre and Dutch concept gardens. The visit to this garden fits in well with our last speaker as the garden is very much a backdrop for the features within it and there are loads of garden ornaments and quite a lot of hard landscaping. In particular there is a new exhibition starting just before we go, on garden benches. So although the gardens are likely to be just like our own - not very far on, there is plenty to look a and of course fantastic views from the whole of the site! Their web site for more information is www.monnowvalleyarts.org.
We welcome visitors and new members at all our meetings, so please come along. Members and visitors wishing to come along on 7 May should call or email to let us know as we need to let Monnow Arts Centre know numbers a couple of days before.
Our latest Newsletter is also available in the USEFUL DOCUMENTS section DOWNLOADS. Please feel free to take a look.
